They are essentials.

Our Story

A Different Path Begins with Matcharl

Matcharl began with a simple yet profound question:

“Matcha aru?” which means
“Do you have matcha?” in Japanese.

It was a moment of curiosity — not just about green tea — but about ingredients that shape everyday life.

As we explored Japanese foods, we found something deeper than flavor:
a philosophy of balance, function, and simplicity.

This led us beyond matcha — into dashi that grounds dishes, natto that fuels the body, and kanten that structures creation.

Made in Japan. Trusted Everywhere.

Essentials That Support Daily Life

We believe truly good ingredients are not defined by hype, but by their ability to be used, again and again.

Matcha that brings calm energy

Dashi that connects and elevates

Natto that nourishes naturally

Kanten that gives shape without flavor interference

These are materials rooted in tradition and reimagined for today —
simple, authentic, and functional.

UNDERSTAND OUR CULTURE

ORIGIN of ICHIMATSU Pattern

Our matcha can is designed to be visually enjoyable, just like looking at a tea bowl.

We created it to let you experience the essence of Japanese culture along with its rich flavor with Ichimatsu Pattern.

The name "Ichimatsu" was given in the mid-Edo period. A popular Kabuki actor named Sanogawa Ichimatsu appeared on stage wearing a hakama with a checkered pattern of alternating white and navy squares.
